Playing Session Rules
Read these carefully before joining a live playing session.
Actors
- Cricketer: A real-world cricket player participating in the real match.
- Player: A user who joins a playing session and trades using points.
Point Types
- Subscription Points: Granted when you subscribe before match start; become your initial Unused Points when you enter the session.
- Joining Points: Granted when you join after match start; become your initial Unused Points when you enter the session (always less than Subscription Points).
- Unused Points: Your in-session wallet used to buy Cricketer Points.
- Cricketer Points: The quantity you hold against a specific Cricketer inside the session; you can sell them back into Unused Points.
- Credits (Reward Credits): Granted at session end by converting remaining Unused Points; stored in your credit account for reward redemptions.
Session Lifecycle
- Before match start: Players can subscribe to the playing session and earn Subscription Points.
- After match start: Players can still join and earn Joining Points (reduced compared to Subscription Points).
- Entering the trade room: Your Subscription/Joining Points appear as Unused Points.
- Trading window: Buy/Sell is available between overs and paused while an over is in progress.
- Innings end: All Cricketer Points are automatically sold back to Unused Points, and all Cricketers’ valuations reset to 50.
- Session end: Remaining Unused Points convert to Credits.
Trading & Portfolio
- You can buy or sell Cricketer Points using Unused Points when trading is open (between overs).
- If you join mid-over, your Unused Points are assigned immediately, and you can trade once the over ends.
Cricketer Valuation
- All Cricketers start at a valuation of 50 at the beginning of an innings.
- Valuation changes in two ways:
- It can increase based on Cricketer Points purchased.
- After each over, valuation can increase/decrease based on performance, but only for Cricketers who were batsman/bowler in the last over.
- At innings end, valuations reset to 50.
The exact purchase-to-valuation formula and performance-to-valuation rules will be published here: Valuation rules.
Profit/Loss Logic
- Profit/loss depends on the valuation you bought at, the current valuation, and the Cricketer’s performance during the over.
- For batsmen: you gain if performance beats an expected threshold; you lose if it falls below it.
- For bowlers: the inverse logic applies.
The exact definition of “expected favorable runs” and point conversion will be published here: Expected performance formula.
Give-away Points (Over Rewards)
- Give-away points are distributed after each over.
- They are computed after each ball of the over and distributed to Players based on holdings of the ball’s striker and bowler after the ball completes.
- Give-away points are converted into Cricketer Points.
The exact per-ball distribution math and rounding rules will be published here: Give-away distribution.
Deductions (Over-by-Over)
- After each over, deductions may apply to:
- Unused Points
- Cricketer Points of Cricketers who did not bat/bowl in the last over
- “Expected Cricketers” (next batters / bowlers with overs left)
- Deduction slabs are match-specific.
Match-specific deduction slabs and the definition of “Expected Cricketers” will be published here: Deduction slabs.
Match Events & Session End
- The session is performance-based and runs from match start onward.
- Any time the batting and bowling teams swap is considered an innings end (including a super over).
Edge cases (abandoned matches, delays, interruptions) will be described here: Session edge cases.
Fair Play
- Multi-accounting, abuse, or manipulation attempts can lead to suspension and forfeiture.
- Organizer decisions are final in case of technical anomalies or disputes.
